Permanent Arm Cabernet Sauvignon 2008 Barossa Valley

Permanent Arm Cabernet Sauvignon 2008

Permanent Arm is a style we used to establish our Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard and involved wrapping 2 canes onto the trellis wire, one to either side of the vine trunk. Each winter we prune back the last season's wood to the permanent arm ready for the next season. Each year God's Hill vineyard produces wines of excellent quality mainly due to the expertise of the Vigneron in keeping the vineyard in balance. Constant care in shaping the canopy and removing excess fruit after veriason has allowed the vines to ripen the fruit at their optimum.

Fruit: Sourced from best 6 rows of our single vineyard at Lyndoch Barossa Valley

Colour: Deep purple hue.

Nose: Well defined Cabernet Sauvignon, complex and fruity with an elegant fragrance and a hint of spices combined with fine oak.

Palate: Elegant mouth filling wine with delicate fruit berries, complex with well balanced fine tannins throughout and a lingering berry finish.

Comments:

This outstanding wine in 2016 WineState World Wine Competition was awarded (5 Star) GOLD medal alongside Chateau Lafite and Chateau Latour ($1,500) and qualified for Wine of The Year. Quote :   " This Was the greatest layout of wines I have seen in 20 years!" Said Wolf Blass.  " Great to see the best Australian wines up there with top French First Growths," The feature of this class is the youthful vibrancy combined with developed complexity.
